LET THE SUMMER BEGIN

Well, we are officially starting summer.  That's what I remember as a kid, when Memorial Day was over the summertime started.  Well we still have to get the kids out of school, graduations has already happened for most colleges and now it time for high school graduation.  So here is congradulations to all high school and college graduation students.

Now the fun begins with cookouts, vacation and of course camps for alot of the kids.  I miss having all of that, you see I'm a granny and a great grandmother, and when we get old, we miss out on all of that fun, so here is a warning to all you mothers enjoy every minute of this time of your life with your kids.  I miss it so much.  Because they grow up and sometimes move away.  I know most grannies will tell you to enjoy but when your young and the time is put on taking care of kids and you think is it never going to end, but it does and then you wish you could go back to those days and change this or that.  Don't get me wrong its nice when they grow up but sad because you miss all that stuff.

Well these are just a few of my thoughts for today of remembering my kids and the times we had during the summer and reflection of what happens when they grow up and take that last walk across the stage for graduation of high school or college.  Enjoy your moments with them always.  Have a great blessed day.

Remember This Weekend and What It Is All About, Freedom, Sacrifice

As we celebrate this weekend, with cook outs, celebrations, please lets remember the fallen that has made this country what it is today.  Also, lets remember if we do not fight for these freedoms they can be taken away in a heart beat, so as we remember the fallen, lets also take heart that we be willing to stand up for our right as a country that  stands for freedom around the world, not a world order country trying to protect the whole world, it is not our place.  We have been called to stand up for our Great Country AMERICA.  Lets remember that with God's help we can overcome the fightings that is happening within our country today.  Please lets stand tall arm in arm for this great land of ours.  GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL WHO HAVE MADE THE GREAT SARIFICE FOR OUR FREEDOM OF LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.  Have a great celebration and remembrance.

 God Bless.

Let's Remember Our Men and Women in The Military This Memorial Holiday

Everyone is getting ready for Memorial weekend, sales, starting of summer and we sometimes forget what this holiday is all about.  I would  like for everyone one to take a few minutes and  remember the scarfices that have been made through the years.  Our Country has been so blessed, we have freedoms that most other countries do not have.  We are able to express our opinions no matter what.  So lets remember the men, women and of course the families of these men and women who made the scarfice for our freedom.  Its a precious thing and so are the lives that have been lost over the years for that freedom.  So when you see a military person, thank them for their service to our country.  God Bless America may she stay strong and powerful for years to come.

Hello everyone in Blog Land, just wanted to say a few words here this morning, sure hope everyone is having a great day wherever you are.

We had our 50th Class Reunion for York High School this past weekend and it was really nice seeing some old faces that I hadn't seen in those 50 years.  I had some moments too.  But I just wanted to bring something to everyones attention that many years ago we do stupid things and as we get older we realize how studid they were, but most of all when we come face to face with Jesus and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, He does, we don't have to dwell on those past sins.  Yes, sometimes its hard to forget them but you keep remembering that you are forgiven and God puts a different purpose and a new light in your heart because you want to please your heavenly Father.  I'm still not prefect but I know that I'm only a sinner saved by the grace of God throught Jesus Christ.  I stand on that.  My past sins are forgiven and I can look forward to today and tomorrow knowing that I have the Holy Spirit to help direct me and I have the Holy Word of God  to give direction  for a peaceful life.  There may be trials and lots of hurdles but with Jesus we can make it over the hurdles and praise Him for the help.  Alway remember the footprints in the sand.  When there wasn't two sets of prints that was when Jesus was carrying us through the hard times.  I praise Jesus for bringing me thus far and I know He will carry me through to the end of my days.  Thanks Lera for a great 50 th reunion.  You and your staff did a great job of organizing and carring it though.  Well done.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Good Morning all,
Well, its the day before Mothers Day, I sure hope everyone is thinking about their moms.  You know whether you have a good or bad one.  If it wasn't for that Mom, you would not be here.  So think about that and ask God's blessing on that Mom.  You know the bible says that we are to "Honor thy Mother and Father.  I know that is sometimes hard when you have been abused or hurt real bad by them.  But when we honor God's word, He honors us.  The reason I'm saying these words because I've been there.  I just wanted to share what God put on my heart today about Mothers Day.  I had two years with my Mom, before she died and I wouldn't take anything for those 2 years.  I had not seen much of her for many years.  I had always wonder what I would do when she got old and needed my help but   thanks my Heavenly Father for giving me the grace to forgive and forget so that I could take care of her and honor her as my Mother.  I know how hard that can be but with God anything is possible.  I loved my Mom and I found out that she loved me.  So,  this Mothers Day if you are having a hard time with your Mother remember what God has told us to do and you will be blessed many times over if you just do what God is telling us to do.

Here is a little poem about Mothers that I wanted to share.  Have a great Mothers Day.

Mother's

You gave me love and watched me grow
You taught me things, I'd need to know
You comforted me and dried my tears
You gave me laughter throughout the years
You taught me to care, to be understanding
I know there were times, I was so demanding
Your wisdom and strength, guided me through
Without your love, I don't know what I'd do
That constant faith you'd had in me
Has given me wings and set me free
Thank you so much, for just being you.
All the love, the laughter - You're the best-
It's true...Love to all Mothers.

Have  a great day with your Mom.
