Trip to the Mountains

We went up to the mountains while my daughter was here from Florida.  It was so beautiful and guess what?  It was cool and so nice.  We had a great time.  Just wanted to share some pictures of what we saw and of course some of my grandkids. Which are 17 and 19.  It was wonderful spending time with all of them.

This picture is a landscape looking down on the valley.

We found this place and I'm not even sure I know the name of it, but boy did I come to life  when I saw these primitive buildings and railings.  It took me way back to  some of the things I read about in my books about the wagons and primitive life in the mountains.

The girls are hugging the scare crow.  They had a small garden and I never saw so many butterflies.  My son-in-law who is a photographer took some of the most beautiful pictures of the butterflies around the flowers, also, some of the bees.  When I get a copy I will share them with you.

The girls feeding the chickens.

Well, these are a few but it was great.  The primitive living just gave me a spoonfull of medicine sort of to speak.  It was really nice to think back to this time of our history.  I bought a book that I will post later and that talks about the mountain living.  We do not realize how much these pioneers went through and how much they had to do to take care of themselves and there families.  Enjoy your time back in time.
